Hydration Belt Reviews

What is Hydration Running Belt ?

When we go for a run, most of the time we would like to bring along our phones, cash, ID, water and if we are going for a longer run we might bring along some power gels. If we were to keep all these in our pocket, it will be uncomfortable and everything will be bouncing around, sometimes even some of the things might fall off without us knowing.

There are 2 types of belt:-

  • Running belt
  • Hydration running belt

So what are the difference? Most of the hydration running belt will fit in most of the things when we go for the run including you water. All these years running I have used quiet many hydration running belt, or if I’m going to shorter runs or events (water stations provided) I would just use a running belt (without the bottle).  If you are planning to get one for yourself, here are some of the top products for hydration belt reviews;

fitletic hydration belt

PRODUCT:  Fitletic 16-ounce Hydration Belt Review
Price: $28.89 – $45.95
Cheapest place to buy: Amazon
My Rating: 9.5 out of 10

The Fitletic hydration belt is a neoprene running belt with a secure stretchable belt to fit different waist size. The friction pads behind the water bottles help to keep the belt from sliding or bouncing when on the run. As for the size, I think it can fit most of the phone comfortably (I’m using an iphone 6s plus). Fitting in nicely a few power gel without falling off easily. As for the fabric, I think it is quite good in quality, when I fit my ID and cash in it, after running a long distance it is still kept dry from my sweat, but if I was running through the heavy rain, I think some the water might go through. Overall I am happy with this belt and worth the money for this quality.

nathan trail mix hydration belt

PRODUCT:  Nathan Trail Mix Hydration Belt Review (20-ounce)
Price: $30.93 – $49.00
Cheapest place to buy: Amazon
My Rating: 9 out of 10

The Nathan Trail Mix Hydration has a mono-filament stretch belt.  As for me, this belt is comfortable as well, with the stretchable material it made it fit nicely to your body without bouncing around. As compare with the Fitletic, this can carry a little more water but if you have a bigger phone this may not be so suitable for you. my iphone 6s can just fit in, if it is any bigger, it will not go in. As for you ID, cash & power gel, that no problem going in.  Overall if you don’t have  a big phone, it would be good quality hydration belt.

nathan 4R belt 3 colour

PRODUCT:  Nathan Speed 4R Hydration Belt with (4) 8 oz Bottles
Price: $38.89-$59.95
Cheapest place to buy: Amazon
My Rating: 9 out of 10

The long run hydration belt. Four 8 oz / 235 ml bottles, and a new, a pouch where you can keep your phone, keys, cash, and up to 8 gels with ease. It comes in 3 colors (as in the picture) and 3 different sizes;

-small (66-81cm (26-32in) waist
-Medium – 81-97cms (32-36in) waist
-Large – 97-112 (36-42in) waist

The bottles are BPA-free. The back bottles have to be face inwards so that when you swing your arms, it may not be interrupted.

This is a very quality belt which this can be the belt that will last a long time. Extremely good for longer distance or if you drink more than others. It is comfortable and if you fit in nicely and tightly, the bottles does not bounce around. The race caps don’t have be opened when you want to drink, you just need to squeeze them and there are in your mouth, it is different from those where you need to pull with your teeth when you want to drink. There is a thing about the race cap, if you fill it up too full, it will squirt a little out while you are running.

As for the pocket, it is a little small. If you have a habit of running with your phones. You can just squeeze in your iphone 5 and you have left with a little space for other things (cards, keys & maybe max 3 gels). Iphone 6 definitely will not fit in comfortably (extremely tight). If you have a smaller phones or you don’t have a habit to carry phones, this belt will be totally fine.

In summary, for a 4 bottles belt this is one of the best if you have a smaller phone or you don’t carry your phone.

camdengear

PRODUCT:   Hydration Running Belt by Camden Gear
Price: $19.99-$49.99
Cheapest place to buy: Amazon
My Rating: 9 out of 10

This belt has large pockets, it can fit most of the phones such as the iPhone 6, 6+, 6S plus 5s, Samsung Galaxy S5, S4, HTC One X. Your cards and ID’s will also fit in the pocket nicely. The belt also has 4 elastic straps which are great for hanging other things – keys, race bibs, gel packs.

Two 6 Oz bottles to keep you hydrated for your short to medium length runs.
Adjustable belt is suitable for men and women that will fit of waist sizes up to 43inches. The Velcro strap lets you adjust the fit to it sits on your waist with not much Chafing or bouncing. But if you are having a waist smaller than 27inches, this belt may be a little too big for you, as you can’t get it any tighter, the belt will start to bounce during your runs.

Great customers service that they actually follow up on you after you purchase this product to see if you have any feedback. They have a 100% money back guarantee but you have to pay for the shipping yourself.

Overall, paying for this price this is a good buy.

Active life hydration belt

PRODUCT:   The Active Life Hydration Running Belt
Price: $19.97-$49.97
Cheapest place to buy: Amazon
My Rating: 8 out of 10

This belt would be a good buy, it does not bounce around and does not weigh you down while running. The bottles do not leak out on to you when you are running. The bottles are bigger than the usual ones with two 10 oz bottles. The pouches were roomy enough to carry the phones (such as iphone 6 plus & Samsung note 4) and gels packets and keys. There is also an internal pocket where you can keep some cards or cash. The bottles were easy to access and I could fit them to the back easily. Quality wise the material is nice, thick and smooth. Good thing about this is that you have 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE within 60 days, no-questions asked, money back guarantee.

Other than that if you have a waist size smaller than 28inches, even with the stretchable and adjustable belt, it would be a little lose and the belt will start to bounce around as you run.
